Kingspan Air RecoveryCentury is the only timber frame company that has been awarded the Irish Agrement Board Certificate.

A Future-Proofed Home

A home is probably the biggest single investment you will ever make. It has to be thoughtfully designed, carefully built, expertly finished and now, crucially, it must be energy efficient.

When you buy a Kingspan Century timber frame home, you will have invested in one of the most energy efficient homes in the country, a home that is Future-Proofed.

This means it:
• Will have a higher resale value
• Is kinder to the environment
• Will be easier and more affordable to run

Keeping the warmth inside with Kingspan Air Recovery System:

Conventional Ventilation

Conventional ventilation and fan extractors expel warm air, creating heat loss of up to 50% and increasing the cost of reheating the building.

Kingspan Air Recovery System

The Kingspan Air Recovery System recycles up to 88% of the heat normally lost with conventional
extractors.

At the same time air recovery systems filter dust, pollen and smoke, providing superior air quality as well as maintaining stable internal temperature and humidity levels.

Airtightness
Air tightness has been a much over looked cause of heat loss. It was only addressed in England and Wales for the first time in 1995 and has yet to be included in the Irish Building Regulations.

Airtightness is achieved using special air leakage barriers on the walls and roof. All junctions of walls, floors, ceilings and roofs are sealed. This keeps the cold external air out and the warm internal air in.

A well sealed building requires designed mechanical ventilation. Airtightness in conjunction with the Kingspan Air Recovery System allows us to keep the warm air in and reduce the heating load of the house. The Kingspan Air Recovery System allows dust, irritants and moist, stale air to be exhausted by the ventilation system. This helps create a healthy and comfortable environment within the house.
