Belmayne puts steel in the frame

When choosing a construction method for the final phase of apartments on the highprofile Belmayne site, LM developments decided to do something different.
Work on the Malahide road site in Dublin commenced in 2006 and the first two phases of houses and apartments were built from Kingspan Century timber frame. For the last phase they decided to use Kingspan Century’s new light-gauge steel frame construction system - Kingframe.

Kingspan Century completes successful energy efficiency seminars

Kingspan Century will host the final in a series of energy efficiency seminars tailored specifically to the needs of selfbuilders and small independent developers. The final seminar, to be held in Limerick on 24 June 2008, rounds off a successful and informative series held at various locations across Ireland.

Irish-company Kingspan Century has been awarded a €4-million contract by the British Government in a project to create 200 zero-carbon homes in the world’s most sustainable community.
The site for the community, located near Hanham Hall in Bristol, is the first to be identified under the British Government’s Carbon Challenge, which is being run to tackle climate change. The finished development will include a mix of affordable and private homes.

Irish-company Kingspan Century today unveiled the most sustainable
mainstream home in the World. The zero-carbon home, entitled
'Lighthouse', has unrivalled levels of efficiency in design,
construction method, energy, CO2 emissions and its carbon
footprint. It costs just €50 per year to heat and produces
it's own electricity.
The house was unveiled in advance of the Offsite 2007 show
at the headquarters of the world-renowned Building Research
Establishment (BRE) outside Watford, England.
